Payment

Full payment is required before I commence work on your portrait. All payments made are non-refundable.

Rush Orders

If you require your portrait to be completed in a shorter timeframe than my standard turnaround, a rush fee will apply. The amount of this fee will depend on the scope of work and the urgency of the request. Please contact me directly to discuss rush orders and associated fees.

Damage in Transit

My portraits are packaged to a very high standard. however in the unlikely event that your artwork is damaged, please photograph the artwork showing the damage and the packaging and contact me immediately. The artwork is to be returned to me at the cost of the client and I will create a new portrait at no additional cost.

Changes to Portrait

Upon finishing the portrait I will email the client with an image of their painting, upon which they can let me know if they would like any changes made.

Copyright

The artist retains the copyright for all the artwork that the artist produces and reserves the right to use the image of the artwork on my website and for promotional material. The finished artwork may be used by the client for display and personal enjoyment only. No prints or copies shall be made, or profit gained in any way, from the finished artwork by the client, without the express written permission of the artist. The artist retains the right to use the image for advertising artistic services, through printed adverts (e.g. flyers) and digital/social media (e.g. website, Facebook). (The artist is happy to keep images of commissioned work private or refrain from using them in any advertising, on request.)

What to expect

You will receive a unique, signed painting by the artist, Christi le Roux.

Standard A4 300g watercolour paper.

Delivery

Worldwide delivery is available using reputable shipping companies and cover. If you are from outside South Africa, please contact me with your shipping address for a custom quote.

International Transaction Fee

For international customers, please be aware that when money is transferred internationally, banks and payment processors may deduct fees for currency conversion and international transfers. To account for these fees, an additional charge will be applied to international orders.

International Shipping and Customs Fees

When placing an order with me for delivery outside of South Africa, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches its destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be covered by you; I have no control over these charges. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Please be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. I want my international customers to understand that I am not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Client Satisfaction and Revisions

While I strive to capture the essence of your pet and ensure client satisfaction, art is subjective. If you are not satisfied with the final portrait, I am open to making minor adjustments. However, if you request a completely new painting, additional fees will apply. It’s important to provide clear and high-quality photos to ensure the best possible outcome.
